Not suprisingly, "Voice Print" was inspired, in part, by beautifully-crafted, wooden piano parts discovered deep in the action of a piano I demantled in the 1990's (a baby grand, if memory serves). More surprising, perhaps, was another source of inspiration for this mixed media piece: a movie from the 1970's called "The Party" starring Peter Sellers. Inspiration comes from all over.
